Gratitude Journal Day 64: Family Assignment

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

My son had the bright idea to do their Gratitude Journals in this fashion. Everyday, they write 5 Gratitudes but ONE has to be a whole paragraph. They sometimes share with each other but not really. I read the entries that they offer when I ask. (I’m trying to treat it kinda secret so they feel it’s important to THEM.) Now, since the entries are part of their allowances, Journals do get “skimmed” buuuut… #YouGetIt

Well, I decided to remix the activity. I miss working with them on stuff because during the first pandemic-related shut down, I was the remote school teacher. Today, they write one reason that they’re grateful for each family member but ONE has to be the full paragraph. Nope, I’m not gonna count sentences or anything but I will be “skimming” to ensure it was taken seriously. *makes money sign with fingers*

Kid #4 is ALWAYS happy to see me and that NEVER gets old. Our family is HOME-schooling (Yup, we actually PULLED them from public school.) and I work-from-home so I see everybody throughout the day, several times before “getting off”. She STILL gives me energy like she missed me and often says, “Daddy. Aww, you’re always working on something or meeting people in your office so I don’t SEE you enough.” Yoo, I’m so appreciative that SHE is present and… *sniff*  πŸ–€

Kid #2 for taking out the trash last night. WHEW! πŸ‘πŸ½

1st Young Adult (Kid #1) makes ALL the store runs now, ice, snacks, pizza. She LIKES to drive. πŸš—

Da Queen *bows* for spending QT and going through the kids’ HOME-schooling activities, grades, etc. on a REGULAR, nightly basis. #SaluteMyAssOff to that dedication. πŸ‘ΈπŸ½

Kid #3 took my 2 Zoom files, combined them, saved them to my Google drive, beat the file-too-large-error & emailed the doggone THING! πŸ€œπŸΎπŸ€›πŸΎ

*winks* JUST in case THEY read this entry as an example… HEY KIDS!
