Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)
I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…
My son had the bright idea to do their Gratitude Journals in this fashion. Everyday, they write 5 Gratitudes but ONE has to be a whole paragraph. They sometimes share with each other but not really. I read the entries that they offer when I ask. (I’m trying to treat it kinda secret so they feel it’s important to THEM.) Now, since the entries are part of their allowances, Journals do get “skimmed” buuuut… #YouGetIt
Well, I decided to remix the activity. I miss working with them on stuff because during the first pandemic-related shut down, I was the remote school teacher. Today, they write one reason that they’re grateful for each family member but ONE has to be the full paragraph. Nope, I’m not gonna count sentences or anything but I will be “skimming” to ensure it was taken seriously. *makes money sign with fingers*
The Queen
I had to think about HOW to express my paragraph of Gratitude for MY Queen, wife and companion. Video, poem, short story were all in the mix but I settled down and decided to stick to the script. Yes, I’m grateful for her cooking, tracking my water intake, putting a schedule on my vitamins and supplements, UPGRADING my vitamins and supplements, taking over the optics, design of the blog, providing the content and pictures, I mean I could go on FOREVER about all the stuff she does for me, with me, to me. *deep breathe* My paragraph is born from the way she LOOKS at me now. *blushing* Maaaaaan, I’m blushing just thinking about it. I get smiles to start her day, forehead kisses, random toasts for being strong and dedicated (Yes! She even has the kids stop, toast, everything like a real TOAST.), DAWG… She changed her entire sleep schedule to hang WITH me more, getting up earlier, staying up later, TRIES to watch superhero/magic/powers movies, actually jams RECORDS and all the little romantic, movie type of QT. THAT. WILL. NEVER. GET. OLD. Someone spending energy and time just to rock with YOU, doing what YOU do and making YOU feel good, compliments, grateful…. Wow. I feel LOVED and appreciated for everything I do. *makes muscle* It’s the secret ingredient to my THRIVING despite Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
Dem Kids tho…
Yoo, my kids are moving, growing, rolling in a little, different manner now. We see each other waaaaaay more because I work-from-home and they real deal HOME-school. All they talked about before this shift to HOME being our new HQ was how much they’d miss their friends, cousins, teachers, #YouGetIt. After about a month, they’re growing on each other more, learning each other strengths/weakness, likes/dislikes, fears, habits. Sometimes, it’s awesome how it comes together. Sometimes, it’s a learning lesson how it all comes together but it is all is coming together. That’s how it starts because we’re gonna get #better. *winks*

Kid #2 for doing his damnest to keep Kid #4 quiet so I could sleep last night. #Salute
Kid #3 for cleaning the kitchen by herself last night. #Salute
Kid #4 for begging me not to work another day-in-a-row. #Salute
1st Young Adult for using her new eyelash technician skills on eyelashes in THIS household. #ThumpsChest
