Gratitude Journal Day 81: Sunday, 12/20/2020

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

I really, REALLY do. I used to feel mean about making choices to protect my #energy/inner G. I felt like, “Damn. I don’t want THEM to feel like I’m avoiding them, ducking them, ghosting them, abandoning them…” Now, I’m beginning to OVERstand that THEM ain’t studden me. (Studden is ebonics for studying or paying attention to.) Folks, let me type that again and put it in BOLD letters, italicized, the works. I’m even going to use the “King’s English” with proper phrasing. The people that you need to avoid aren’t paying attention to YOU avoiding them. You can use that time to write in your Gratitude Journal, read a book, play a video game, sleep, enjoy a beer, watch something on TV, goof around with your kids, flirt with your significant other, start a freaking business, learn a skill, the list goes on and on and on, it keeps GOING. You will be feeling better about your life, situation, choice and the whole time, they are NOT even noticing that you are missing. *shrugs* You don’t HAVE to believe me because I’m #sickAF anyway. It sounds easy for the handicapped, disabled dude to brag about making better choices when he can’t go anywhere, any-damn-way. *mean mug* Yooo. This applies to social media as well. Follow different accounts. Rock with people, accounts, businesses that match where you WANT to be, want to GROW. You don’t HAVE to always see the same negative stuff that’s always on your timeline. UNfollow some stuff, mute some stuff, step up and get involved in your timeline homie. The point is that simple.

4.) Dropped that NEW blog over HOME-schooling! We got the girls in a remote school, run by African Americans, with an African American direction, African American foundation and AFFORDABLE. (Click here for the full post!)

3.) My lip is okay! πŸ’ͺ🏾 Okay. I admit to being a lip biter. Heck, I probably chew my lips when I’m concentrating or focusing. Yes, I know I need to stop but at age 43, I’m getting worse. Which brings me to my first gratitude of the day. I was biting my lip and almost, ALMOST snatched a plug off! *sigh* That slowed me down for real. Snatching a plug is when you accidentally bite too much, causing some bleeding, that stinging pain and the subsequent days of healing where you keep re-injuring your lip on salty foods, hot foods, laughing too hard and other basic functions of life. Well, I didn’t do that this morning. I almost did but caught myself and BAAAAAABY, I am grateful for that!

2.) S/O to THE homies for helping me level up. πŸ€œπŸΎπŸ€›πŸΎ I was rocking Destiny with a guy from work and my brother. Yoo, that was fun as HECK. The guy from work… Yes, I know the man’s name but for privacy purposes and job-related concerns, I’ll skip his name and keep saying guy-from-work. *sticks out tongue* ANYway, the guy-from-work was an absolute BEAST at the game. He showed us some cool tips and secrets, helped us get some fancy upgraded gear and straight up taught us components of the game that we didn’t know jack about. We rumbled for over an hour and I’m hoping to catch up with him again in the future.

1.) That’s The Way I Feel (web series) has topics for January 21! πŸ“²πŸ’»πŸ‘‘ Chopped it up with another King and put together the blueprint for the opening, 2021 episode of That’s The Way I Feel. We have guests lined up for the entire month of January and made plans on developing the technical aspects of our adventure in purpose. The web series is a Zoom meeting of people dealing with Multiple Sclerosis in multiple ways and sharing the ups, downs and solutions that keep them going and growing. When is the actual episode going to take place? *thinking face* I’ll let you directly, if you let me know, you are interested in joining or watching. *winks* I’m sho grateful that we took time to set it up because life, in general, is taking off for me. I have plans clean through Valentine’s and it’s only Christmas time.
