Gratitude Journal Day #297: Wednesday, 7/28/21

You read right! I’m finding Gratitudes in airport delays! #agentofgratitude #kendrickavant

3.) Made it to the airport – We chose to use the public bus because we’re THAT serious about Ecuador πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¨. It was a GREAT decision too. The bus STATION was like a mini mall in Manta, stores, restaurants, comfortable seating, it is cute. πŸ˜‰ The bus itself had Wi-Fi, beds and throughout the ride, the driver stopped for food vendors who boarded and sold whatever directly to us. When we got to Guayaquile, the bus station was doggone NIGHTCLUB! Two stories, hustlers, vendors, shopping, entertainment, liquor stores, the WORKS. We were sincerely impressed and grateful for the safety and options. βœ…πŸ“– All that gave multiple reasons affirming a permanent move because a car isn’t needed and the access for wheelchair users was awesome.

2.) Found something to eat – When we made it to the AIRPORT….πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘ŽπŸΎ Things got spicy. I’m grateful we found a decent spot to eat because the kids were not taking things well at all. Mickey D’s closed with the customer BEFORE us which almost sent them to tears of fear and frustration. Good thing we found a different restaurant, open all night, served BEER after hours. #whew! They enjoyed their burgers too. I know because each wiped that styrofoam clean as a whistle! πŸ€œπŸΎπŸ€›πŸΎπŸ–€ Then, the REAL Gratitude hit. They fell asleep for some hours and that gave the parents some time to regroup and strategize on the canceled flight.

1.) Might be able to meet a homie – I’m hoping so. We worked that WACK Customer Service Representative gig together and since we’re delayed 12hrs here, 24hrs in FL, this is the best chance we have to meet and SEE other. Yup, that is the Gratitude. A delayed flight is my chance to meet a homie in PERSON.
